An Afternoon Walk With Benda in The Lake and Hills of Biel

Biel lake is our family's favorite destination for staying overnight on weekends, a short vacation, take a hiking tour, a walk in the lake promenade, swimming in the lake or in the swimmingpool.

It is just about 45 minutes auto ride from our hometown. The main road has a beautiful panorama of the lake and the hills filled with grape plantations starting from Biel center to our Camping place. The lake and grape plantation scenery you will enjoy a long way to the next lakes and cities.

For several years we had a liitle mobilehome in Camping des Peche, Le Landeron where we could relax for a while away from the hectic routine life of working and doing houseworks.

I really had a nice feeling coming in here relieve from my big daily household chores at home.

A simple not luxus place is a great contrast at home. A surrounding of beautigul nature. A walk along the river or around the lake early and late in the afternoon.

We had lots of fun as our children were still babies until now spending some time in a Camping area were they could play, bike around, swim, take a family hiking adventure. There are lots of children around and great animation programs during summer time for children, teenager, adults and seniors.

The big 4 swimmingpools have enough place for children and adults. The sandy beach is ideal for children. The rocky beach and the river are good place for swimmer, a whole day relaxing, sun bathing or swimming with available grill places.

Some retirees spend their whole spring, summer, autumn time in their mobilehomes until middle of October. Some stayed the whole year through as retiree residents.

A little marine port is available for those who love sailing discovering the three big connecting lakes of Biel, Murten and Neuchatel.

An alternative are the government tourist passenger ships with a ducking station in the Camping area and in Biel surrounding lake port stations.

Benda loves this place...a walk along the river is her favorite.
