Jura Crest Trail Chasseral in Switzerland
The Chasseral is at 1607 m, the highest peak in the Swiss Jura. It is on the southern most chain and dominates the Swiss Mittelland. The regional naturepark can be explored on foot, by bike or on horseback.
We travelled with our Auto starting Le Landeron, Biel where we have our Mobilhome heading to the deep valley to the crown of the Bernese Jura. It was a constant but pleasant, climbing our way to the Chasseral TV Tower as seen far away. Chasseral has a big parking area, It could also be reach by the public bus. There is a hotel just by the parking area with a big terrace to dine with beautiful panoramic views of the alpines and the lakes.
So the place is ideal for a beginner, for children and seniors to just take a comfortable walk to the TV Tower.
The delightful, sensational beautiful panoramic view of the Mittelland Lakes was so amazing with views of the Alpines in a sunny warm afternoon was so ideal to hike.
The Chasseral ist just between the German and French speaking Switzerland, between industrial and rural areas. It is the transition between Jura and Mittelland.
The Chasseral can be seen from far away. It has a beautiful landscape of the forest and mountains which colors change from season to season and is rich with natural treasures and traditions.
The Regional Park of Chasseral has 12 signposted hiking and mountain biking trails, several theme trails. There are also guide excursions and the bridle of which visitors can discover special features of the area.
Highlights of Chasseral
Regional Park Chasseral - supports and coordinates tourism projects, nature conservation, forestry and agriculture on the Chasseral.
Views - the Chasseral to the Vosges and Black Forest, on Lake Biel, Neuchâtel and Morat, Seeland and central plateau to the 250-km long Alpine panorama.
Métairies - alpine, where cheese is still made and guests are entertained. A circular walk leads from Metairie to Métairie offering breathtaking panoramas and local specialties.

Thank you writer20. This is a beautiful place with 2 contrasting panoramic views, the lake and alpine view, in the other side the green/rocky mountain view.
I am sure this photographs are through the eyes of a flier or a gliding man. but the name Switzerland itself will give you many nostalgic moments in life. The relaxing cows ready to give tons of milk adds beauty to your snaps. I am sure the place you had show here is the best place for adventure tourism like gliding, paragliding, etc.very nice hub. voted beautiful
