I have to go…
I hate these words,
I hate to go.
I hate to say goodbye.
I don’t want to say goodbye,
I don’t want to cry.
I know you feel the same way too,
You know i have to go,
We both know,
It’s time for me to go.
So many years,
So many precious moments,
So much love, joy and sorrow.
Did i wasted all those years?
Being with you?
Our unforgetable moments,
Our dreams come true.
I have to find my hope and future,
I have to find a place to live,
I have to find my own home,
In this world ,
In another place,
In another time.
To tell the world,
I have my own,
My own love,
My own lover,
My own home.
I have to go away,
Why did you let me go????

This is beautiful. It really explains one of the bittersweet moments in life when we have to let go of those we love in order to support their growth and our own.

Thank you ahorseback. Life is full of questions even the ones we can't answer. Why do it have to be this way? For us to find another world to live for a better future, to know more about what one really wants to have in life.
Yes you are right leann2800. To let go and far from someone you love is so hard. But a chance to find a new beginning, to achieve what you really want and finding out a way to make life a better place to live for both is worth trying.
marellen, sometimes i am thinking and evaluating if i made the right decision. I should have a life of luxury of not going away but i think all my life i would be dependent to someone without achieving anything of my own which would not make me happier. So many years i thought of another life and i realize i did make a right decision. Thanks.
Great poem! There is always a time to say goodbye and we often asked ourselves: "Are we doing the right thing?"
Thanks Thelma. Yes in times of despare and loneliness, when things won't turn out right and frustrations come. I ask myself sometimes "have i done the right decision?" and when things run smoothly as i wish then i would say " i did the right thing".
Very beautiful carolp, saying goodby to someone you love is so difficult, but sometimes it's the best decision for both. When will we know if it was right? Maybe never. Thank you.

I'm chicken about saying goodbye. One time I left when he was at work and took everything I owned with me so he would have a clue I was gone.
